Fairtrade Fortnight 2020 Mon 24 FEBRUARY - Sun 8 MARCH
Join Swansea Fair Trade Forum to celebrate this year's Fairtrade Fortnight! During the two-week campaign, Swansea Fair Trade Forum and its members are putting on a range of local events with something for everyone. This year we are kicking off in the week before FT Fortnight and continuing with activities beyond the two weeks.
Wed 19th February, 7–9pm: Fairtrade Past, Present and Future As Clydach works towards becoming a Fairtrade Village, Robin Roth of Traidcraft visits to talk about the history of Fairtrade and how he sees its future. Thu 20th February, 7–9pm: Launch Event: Fairtrade and the Climate Emergency (for event poster, click here) Robin Roth, CEO of Traidcraft, launches Swansea’s Fairtrade Fortnight programme with an evening talk, questioning whether we need to unlearn what Fairtrade means in order to save the planet. Mon 24th February to Sun 8th March: Banana Exhibition @ Oxfam Castle Street The Castle Street Oxfam shop in Swansea will host “The National Gallery of Contemporary Art Wales” and a delicious mix of art and Fairtrade bananas!
