The
Forum is the main source of information and activity relating to Fair
Trade in Swansea and achieved Fairtrade City Status for the City and
County of Swansea in December 2004 (awarded by the Fairtrade
Foundation).
We have organised events, stalls, talks, workshops and activities and support other groups who want to run their own events or start their own Fair Trade groups. We also produced the Swansea Fairtrade Guide, a glossy A5 booklet containing information and a directory of Fairtrade retailers in Swansea. This was produced with the financial support of the Co-operative Group and various fundraising activities.
The Forum maintains a store of general leaflets, exhibition boards and materials for displays, exhibitions and events. The group generally meets once every 2 months and a representative from the group also attends the Wales Fair Trade Forum meetings. If you would like to get involved in the group, help out at our events and activities or just need some advice, please get in touch.
