***Fairtrade Events 2009***Special Fair Trade Menu Throughout Fairtrade Fortnight at Truffle Restaurant This very popular restaurant is trying out some fair trade ingredients, so it's a great time to try their delicious food!Mon 23rd Feb - Traidcraft Stall at Christ Well Church, Manselton. Information on Fair Trade, and products for sale. Tues 24th Feb - Information Stand in the "Pod", 12 noon - 6pmSwansea Fair Trade Forum members will be at the library to answer questions and give out information about Fair Trade. Wed 25th Feb - "From the Amazon" 7pm, at the White Room in the Arts Wing of Swansea Grand Theatre. Two inspirational speakers: Juan Kunchikuy is an English speaking Shiwiar Indian who is a lead guide at the YACHANA LODGE in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Phil Williams from Plan-IT Eco, a local motivational speaker on environmental respect and protection. Bore Coffi Masnach Deg - A chance to learn/practice/speak Welsh at a Fairtrade Coffee Morning at the Oxfam Books And Music Shop. 1st March, Swansea Fair Trade Forum stall at Green Fair In Mumbles. 1st March, Fairtrade coffee morning At Sketty Methodist Church. 3rd March, Oxfam & Res-a-Rec exhibition & Fairtrade Refreshments 4th March, Fairtrade Wine tasting evening At the Ostreme Centre, Mumbles. 4th March, Framework SocialSt James Social Club. 5th March, World Welsh FirstsAt Oxfam Books And Music Shop. 7th March, "Fairtrade Friday" at Swansea University, College and Institute Fair Trade Fashion Show, 4th May 2007 Once again the Swansea Fair Trade Forum organised a fabulous Fair Trade Fashion Show on Friday 4th May 2007, at the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea. The fashion show show-cased the best Fair Trade fashion, jewellery and craft from around the world, and afterwards there was a chance to buy most of what went down the catwalk. The show was a huge success, so thanks to everyone who took part. 4th March 2008, Fairtrade Wine and local cheese tasting evening.
